On a paragraphical side note, I have no weekend life as it is now dominated by required review class sessions until my parents deem me fit enough to live without them— which is expected to happen around December. Due to that, I am unable to write posts about how awesome (and eccentric) Mawaru Penguindrum is. In addition, posts on this blog will appear less often or in other words once a week— which is sad because I find talking about anime stuff a stress reliever. On to the show!
What are MADs?
MADs are a type of Japanese fan-made video, which has its roots at AMVs (Anime Music Videos). While they don’t need to be anime related, the usual concept of an MAD is using the song and video sequence of a certain series and using the characters of another. In my honest opinion, MADs are better than AMVs.
So what do I have in store for you today? How about Magical Girls fighting their way through witches AND zombies? Sounds crazy? Well, not for this AMV which was done splendidly. The video uses characters from the series Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica also known as Puella Magi Madoka Magica. As for the song and video sequence, you will find yourselves basking in the awesomeness of Highschool of the Dead. Personally, Highschool of the Dead has one of the best opening sequences in terms of both the song and the sequence. What I never liked was the characters. So throw in a couple of magical girls from a magical series and you get an incredible MAD.
